I can tell you very many things about ambien.I use ambien for a long period and i can say that ambien is not addictive.In the other hand if you use amiben, zolpidem and other hypnotics a long time i am sure that you will have side effects.Some of the side effects are insignificant, but other effects are very important because your health are in danger.Try to keep a normal lifesytle and if addiction apear you can try to control with other suppliments like:tea,coffe (without sugar)and why not with sport.By the way...is about ambiental drugs.
